FLOODS IN VENICE

On the 12 and 13 November 2019 another tragedy hit our Veneto: floods in Venice.
The jewel that represents our Italy, the pride of Veneto and the Venetians in the world has been struck by the weather and man’s neglect.
Venice found itself X to deal with high water, which has reached incredible levels (1,87 m) that have not been seen since 1966. At time the atmosphere was surreal, with pouring rain and constant wind, pushing water around the streets and the fields, flooding them completely.
Damages, considering houses, businesses, artistic buildings and boats are unbelievable;
In the San Marco cathedral the whole crypt has been submerged. Some boats have sunk, others have been pushed ashore by the force of the enormous waves.
Damages are estimated at over one billion euros.
As a company we could not sit still and we decided to donate a contribution, a signal of attention and closeness to Venice and its population. A small gesture that we liked to share with you at Christmas, sure that everyone will do anything possible to help Venice to return shining.
