The Luca group entered the paper-making industry in 1982, by acquiring Grafiche Chiminello in Pianezze San Lorenzo. The company made a series of investments in the industry and evolved from an artisanal business to an industrial one, with the purchasing of machinery to produce large packaging. In 1999, two further acquisitions were made: Savioprint (from Pordenone) and Grafiche Geap (from Fiume Veneto), which specialised in small formats and high-quality packaging.
In 2000, Ivesgrafica (from Vicenza) joined the group. Ivesgrafica was one of the oldest companies in the business (1953) and specialised in large formats and laminated cardboard. In 2002-2004 the corporate merger of these separate businesses was completed, giving rise to the Lucaprint group, which enlarged its premises and moved all of its activities to Pianezze San Lorenzo (in the province of Vicenza). In 2011, Lucaprint acquired the production branch of Co-Ver Industrial Processes from Verbania and moved the entire production to Pianezze.
